Help Friendly Feed the Need

Join Jim Riehl’s Friendly Cadillac Hummer Honda and the 97.1FM Ticket Chicks this Thursday, Sept. 10, from 4pm to 7pm for a special charity car wash to help Feed the Need in Macomb County.

Volunteers from the Macomb Food Program will be providing 97¢ carwashes (cash donations accepted) and collecting non-perishable food items to help feed the growing need of hungry families in Macomb County.

Be sure to grab a hot dog, bag of chips and bottled water for just $1.97 (all proceeds going to the Macomb Food Program) while you take a look at our all new 2010 Cadillacs and Hondas, including the all-new Cadillac SRX. Let us carefully hand-wash your car while you take a test drive with your next car, all while helping a worthy cause.

While you’re here, have a photo taken with the 97.1 Ticket Chicks (additional cash and non-perishable food donations will be appreciated as well).

Donations will benefit the Macomb Food Program, which currently has 55 food pantries located throughout Macomb County that distribute emergency food to families in need.

Macomb Food Program Facts:

  • A $10 donation will provide almost 24 days of food (at three meals per day) for an individual.
  • A $50 donation distributes 350 pounds of food to agencies serving hungry people.
  • In 2008, over 35,008 households consisting of 90,783 individuals requested emergency food from the Macomb Food Program’s network.

Jim Riehl’s Friendly Cadillac is located at 18900 Hall Road at Romeo Plank in Clinton Township. For more information, call 586-412-9600 or see our website at www.jimriehl.com.

The Macomb Food Program gives a big “thank you” to Jim Riehl’s Friendly Cadillac Hummer Honda, the 97.1FM Ticket Chicks and everyone who participated in the car wash event! The car wash resulted in 27 pounds of food collected and $278.60 in cash. The funds collected will purchase 1,990 pounds of food to help people in need here in Macomb County. Thank you for helping “feed the need.”
