Car Allowance Rebate System
In our continuing effort to be Environmentally Friendly, Jim Riehl’s Friendly Automotive Group is proud to participate in the new Car Allowance Rebate System (C.A.R.S.) (Car Allowance Rebate System) initiative - the “cash for clunkers” program signed into law by President Obama. This government program will help you purchase a new, more fuel-efficient vehicle when you trade in a less fuel-efficient “gas guzzler”.
Here’s how it works:
1) Visit
www.cars.gov for current information about the program
2) Determine if you qualify, then shop for your new Friendly vehicle
3) Bring your title, registration, and insurance papers showing continuous registration and insurance coverage on your trade-in for the past FULL YEAR to your Friendly sales consultant. Your sales consultant will apply the credit, reducing the price you’ll pay for your purchase or lease of a new vehicle by up to $4,500!

Your trade-in must:
Have been manufactured less than 25 years before the date you trade it in
Have a “new” combined city/highway fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon or less.To find the combined city/highway fuel economy of your trade-in, go to
http://www/fueleconomy.gov.feg.sbs.htm.
Be in drivable condition
Be continuously insured and registered to the same owner for the full year preceding the trade-in
The MSRP of your new purchase cannot exceed $45,000.
This program does not apply to used vehicles.
Final details will be available July 24, so start planning now to trade in your old “gas hog” for a new fuel-efficient model and receive up to a $4,500 credit! Go to
www.cars.gov or watch our Friendly website for more information.
